Hello all, and welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. I'm excited to get my third year as the Physical Education Instructor at St. Patrick's started. I look forward to not only working once again with our returning students, but meeting all of our new ones as well.
Philosophically, I believe there are several components to my role as the school's Physical Education teacher. Specifically, there are five areas (listed in order of priority below) in which I plan to facilitate student development:
1.) Catholic Morality and Overall Character
2.) Social Emotional Well-Being
3.) Physical Fitness (current and future maintainence)
4.) Sport Specific Skills
5.) Sport Specific Knowlege (Concepts, Principles, Strategies, and Tactics)
I believe that the Physical Education and Athletics domain provides a special opportunity to have a lasting impact on students. Growing up, so many of my Physical Education teachers and coaches were role models for me. In many ways, I credit them for motivating me to enter into this career path. Now, as a teacher and coach myself, I hope to have the same kind of impact on the young people that I work with. God has a plan for all of us, and I certainly hope to do his will be steering as many kids in his direction as possible.
I look forward to a great upcoming school year, and making my third year at St. Patrick's one to remember.
