It is imperative that your child's teacher is aware of their dismissal plans.  

St. Patrick School

The St. Patrick School Before and/or After School Programs will be available for students in grades N-8. The programs were developed to provide working parents with access to high-quality, low-cost childcare. They provide a safe, secure, educationally sound atmosphere for children. Pre-registration is required. 

Before School Program 

The program runs from 7:15-8:30 AM on regular school days. Teachers will have a cell phone 631-804-3692. You may use this number to reach the teachers at 7:15 AM, to be let in the building if the doorbell is not working.  You may call the school office at 631-724-0285 after 7:45 with any changes to aftercare or before care for the following school day. This phone is NOT manned after 8:30 AM and will NOT be checked for messages after 8:30 AM. Breakfast is NOT provided. 

After School Program 

This program runs from 2:30-5:45 PM on regular school days and from 11:20-5:45 on most days of early dismissal. Contacting aftercare staff  for messages between the hours of 2:30-3:30 can be done by calling the school office  at 631-724-0285 and  via the aftercare cell phone  631-804-3692 from 3:30- 6:00 PM. This phone is to alert the aftercare teachers you are at the door. This phone is NOT manned after 6:00 PM and will NOT be checked for messages the next day. Any changes regarding before/aftercare need to be made by leaving a message with the school office. 

Homework

Students will be given time to complete homework. Note that completion of homework is supervised but is not tutoring, therefore all homework should be checked by a student's parents. The students will participate in a variety of activities including physical recreation, story-time, coloring, movies, and games. 

Communication

It is the parent’s responsibility to inform their child’s classroom teacher, in writing or an email, as to what their aftercare schedule is. Please send a copy of the enrollment form to your child’s teacher each month. Keep a copy of your child’s schedule handy to avoid confusion. If there is ANY last-minute change on the day that your child is attending before or after care  you must call the office and SPEAK to Mrs. Mortimer or  Mrs. Ewald.

Snack/Lunch

Please provide several snacks, especially if your child stays longer. It is helpful to have a separate bag for after school snacks. If your child is attending After School on a half day, they need to bring lunch and a drink to after school. 

Registration and Fee Schedules: Payments for the tuition and fees are structured as follows: 

• There is a non-refundable registration fee of  $50 per family

• Tuition is paid monthly and is invoiced to the family FACTS account

• Payment form for before/aftercare will be credit card only

• Tuition and all incurred late-pickup fees are due on the 5th of the month 

• A FACTS Management fee of $30 will be added to tuition for any/all bounced/returned tuition

•  Fee for late pick up is $20 per ¼ hour or portion thereof

• Any unpaid before/aftercare tuition will result in suspension from before/aftercare until the accounts are brought current

Tuition: 

• Before School Program:  Flat Rate $15/day

• After School Program:

  • $11 per hour for 1 child

  • $18 per hour for 2 children

  • $30 per hour for 3 children 

Additional Information

• All families who use the program must be pre-registered for the St. Patrick Before/After School Program. SCHOOL REGISTRATION DOESN’T MEAN YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM; Registration takes place each year.

• Fees are charged as an hourly rate; calculated at ½ hour increments. Meaning: if you pick up at 3:10 or 3:18 you are charged for the ½ hour: 3:00 PM-3:30 PM.

• Tuition payments must be made by the 10th of each month

• Tuition delinquency will result in suspension from before/aftercare until the accounts are brought current

• The program ends promptly at 5:45 PM. A late fee of $20 per ¼ hour will incur for any/all late pickups. Meaning: pick up at 6:00 PM will incur a $20 fee. 

• The St. Patrick Before/After School Program begins on the first day of school and follows the St. Patrick School calendar. 

• The St. Patrick Before/After School Program is open on half-days, which are indicated on the calendar. 

• The St. Patrick Before/After School Program is open on teacher conference days. 

• If a medical emergency arises the staff will attempt to contact you via phone. If you cannot be reached we will contact 911. If it is deemed necessary and/or contact your physician. Any fees incurred as a result of these measures will be the responsibility of the parent as part of your personal medical insurance. 

• All behavior expectations when attending St. Patrick School, apply to the St. Patrick Before/After School Program. In the event of misbehavior, St. Patrick School reserves the right to suspend and/or terminate your child’s participation in the program. 

• Calendars with your child’s monthly schedule are due one week prior to the beginning of the next month. Any changes to the schedule must be done the Friday before the week that is affected by the change. Changes that occur the day of will incur a $10 charge. 

I understand and agree with the above registration requirements, fees (registration, late, and change of schedule), tuition, and behavioral expectations.
