The following Criteria will establish eligibility for Principal's Honors, Honor Roll or Exemplary Effort in Grades 6,7,8
Honors for Middle School Students:
Principal Honors: This honor is earned by a student who receives an average of 96-100 % in the 5 major subject areas and have a minimum of a 90 in each special area subject. This honor requires that students receive an “E” in effort and conduct in each major subject area and an “E” or “S” in each special area.
Honor Roll: This honor is earned by a student who receives an average of 90-95% in the 5 major subject areas and have a minimum of a 85 in each special area subject. This honor requires that students receive an “E” or “S” in effort and conduct in each subject area, including specials.
National Junior Honors Society:
To be considered for NJHS, a student must receive a minimum of a 90% in each of the 5 major subject areas (Math, Religion, ELA, Science and Social Studies) and have a minimum of a 85 in each special area subject.
To be considered to NJHS a student must receive a “E” or “S” in conduct and effort for all subject areas.
